5 ways to style a little black dress with Grace Woodward.

Hello everyone!
I am currently away with my boyfriend and his family in Somerset at the moment - with very slow internet and amazing smelling food awaiting me - but I wanted to quickly show you what I got up to last Thursday!

I was so excited to be asked to 'model' some of the clothes as part of a feature with Grace Woodward Iyes, pevious x factor stylist AND BNTM judge - eeep!) and Meadowhall - all in the name of Meadowhalls October Fashion Month. I've never actually *done* modelling, I don't claim to be a model and certainly don't fit the description!

I got into Meadowhall and was immediately brought a cup of tea and had two gorgeous MAC ladies do my makeup and had my hair done! It was quite a long process for my makeup, to the point where I wondered how ugly actually was I if they needed THIS much makeup haha - but it was just because there was so much contouring and attention to detail which I don't do on my face! I really want to get some of the products they used on my face such as the paint pot and gel liner - which they actually used on my eyebrows which made them look AMAZING.

It was really exciting and I got styled by Grace, which in itself was pretty crazy and surreal!
She really had an eye for what looked good with what aswell - even pairing the trouser suit with the little black dress. I was pretty unsure at first but it was actually amazing. I really like how the looks were all different and how she really did show that a little black dress can be worn in so many different ways. I think my favourite look is probably with the hat - I look so 'chic' in it - and it's something I myself would never have even put together or worn. What was even nicer was how she kept complimenting how I looked in the photos etc which coming from someone such as her was such a compliment! I also got to just chat to her about normal stuff and just chill out - not a bad days work!

Do you like how the photos turned out? I hate when people say 'oh wow you look so different to your blog photos' cause it makes me feel like people think I try and 'mask' what I really look like on my blog than in real life - even though I don't edit anything except occasionally lighting! I do love how they did my makeup and hair - although abit too much than what I usually go for but it makes my skin look freakin flawless on all the photos - woo hoo!! & Thankyou so much to Meadowhall and Hazel for reaching out to me - I had such a good day!

Will be blogging tomorrow my Halloween outfit (woo)
And then over the next few days what I a up to in Somerset. If you have anywhere you think I should visiti please let me know!

#15 Thrifty Thursday - Halloween Special

Hello all!
I've had the most hectic day today - involving a little photoshoot session as part of Meadowhalls October Fashion Month! I actually got to hang out with the incredible Grace Woodward and get styled by her .. surreal and very exciting! She is ridiculously funny and lovely - ANYWAY more about that at another time :-)

Skeleton full body costume, thrifted - £3
Double platform studded suede creeper lookalikes, ebay - £19.99

My mum picked up this skeleton costume from a charity shop for £3. I have two different halloween things to attend and this is the first of the outfits I am wearing!
I think it is definitely worth hitting your charity shops for cheap outfits for halloween. If not then I'vs spotted some cheap skeleton costumes on ebay HERE & HERE

The facepaint was a pretty rushed shop, but I used snazaroo facepaints in BLACK and SILVER which looked amazing in the end. They have lots of YOUTUBE VIDEOS on how to do this look too :-)

The next outfit I think I'm going to be a cat - so kee your eyes peeled for that!

Jack Skellington

Seen as halloween is upon us, I thought it was only fitting I have a few halloween-esque posts :-)

Jack Skellington Skull top, c/o oasap
Triangle hand harness bracelet, You Wear Fashion (£10 - coming soon!)
Black beanie hat, carboot - 50p
American Apparel Riding pants, ebay - £35
Double platform studded suede creeper lookalikes, ebay - £19.99

I actually love this oversized skull top. It's very different to any I've seen on the high street, it's perfect with leggings (or riding pants as I am wearing!) and a good pair of creepers. Oh and a beanie but ya know, that goes without saying! ;-)
I love it because it looks so much like Jack Skellington from a Nightmare before christmas, which I religuously watch every single halloween. It is truelly Tim Burton at his best in my eyes, and cannot wait till halloween now!
Also a little note about the triangle hand harness / bracelet. It will be in my store in about a weeks time but I actually wore it with this outfit and didn't want to have to take it off just to fit my blog! If you would like to preorder it please email me at shewearsfashion@gmail.com & I will be able to send it out before its *officially* in store ;-)
Are you guys looking forward to Halloween?

Don't wanna be an American idiot ..

Before all of you scream and shout at me for wearing things that are not weather apporpriate, understand that this wasn't supposed to be an 'outfit of the day' - I obviously didn't wear this out. Although if I was brave enough in the summer I hope I would :-)
OH and yeah no idea why my legs look so PALE in some of these photos. I can assure you I am very brown allover in real life I have no idea why it looks so weird!

American Flag Print Bobble Hat, Ebay - £6.99
American Flag Print Oversized Glitter Sweater, c/o Fashio Union
Iron Fist American Flag Print Wedges, c/o FYFO

I wanted to pretty much just show off (yet again!) my love for all thing flag print. I absolutely lvoe and live in my missguided American flag top, however when I recieved this from Fashion Union I fell in love. It's definitely a very true representation on the 'star spangled' banner.. hehe ;-)

I also love love love this bobble hat and think you should all go out and buy it :-)
It's originally from the mens primark section, but you can get ut off ebay here here & here!

Happy Saturday everyone!

#14 Thrifty Thursday - H&M Aviator Shearling Jacket

So first off - I'm SO sorry that thrifty thursday has been away so long! I was in london for a week for fashion week and then when I came back it took me a while to get back in my -groove- of blogging, and then I just kept putting it off.
I feel a little overwhelmed with blogging at the moment I'm not going to lie. As much as I am super happy for every opportunity thrown my way, I am just a normal girl from Sheffield and I feel so out of my depth!
I also feel like I need to stop letting blogging take over from me getting my you wear fashion things sorted as that is my number one priority, and I honestly and itching for the restock now (which is about 2 weeks away - eek!)

Anyway, it's a very quick one today as james quickly snapped these before we went off out to do some quick shopping on Ecclesall Road and grab a dvd from Blockbuster. Ended up watching WALL -E for the first time (yeah I dunno why I haven't seen it before even though I LOVE Pixar!) and it was such a cute film!

H&M Aviator Shearling Jacket, Thrifted - £4 (have a look here!)
White top, H&M - £4
Black Skinny Topshop 'Jamie' Jeans, ebay - £20
Faux Jeffrey Campbell Spike Lita Lookalikes (£39.99) c/o daisystreet
(yes, these are the BEST lookalikes ever!!!)

My mum picked me this shearling aviator jacket from a charity shop for 4 whole pounds! I absolutely love it :-) I just dislike that it's a size 12 and a little -too- oversized, but it does make it a lot comfier and warm! You can find them super cheap on ebay I've seen so take a little lookie HERE!

Sorry it was a quick one today - I am so busy at the moment!
Been really good with blogging so much recently though (3 days in a row yay!)
So Hopefully another post up asap!

Tuesday, October 16, 2012

Wow, what a crazy start to my week.
I am now aware after writing that, that it's actually Tuesday not Monday.
Life Fail.

Wine Coloured Carousel Print Batwing Shirt, c/o Oh MY Love
Black Skater Skirt, c/o ROMWE
Gold cross necklace c/o Eclectic Eccentricity
Triangle Hand Chain, c/o Eclectic Eccentricity
Skull Ring (lookalike of Alexander Mcqueen!), Matalan - £6
Gold ring, carboot - 50p
Blue Stone Ring, Primark - £2
Faux Jeffrey Campbell Litas, c/o soyoushoes

So this is an outfit I sort of just threw on together. I recieved this gorgeous Wine coloured blouse from oh my love and I have to say I am just completely in love with th style of the blouse. It's batwibged, and similar to the nasty gal blouses which I hav been dying to get my hands on! I wasn't sure of the pony print on it as it's quite *girly* but it has grown on me :-)

This skirt is my absolute favourite skirt I own, and is my official 'autumn skirt'. It is the perfect length and will look amazing with well.. everything! Skirts, shirts, crop tops! I also got a bunch of other aazing things from the amazing people at ROMWE (including this cosmic dress oh my effing god!) and will show you as soon as possible!

Wearing a few pieces from EE jwellery too which, as I've said before, are my favourite jewellery brand who I've supported since they were small, and including them supporting me back in the 'iheartvintagex' days - so they always have a space in my heart and blog ;-) <3 NOW You may have seen on twitter/instagram or even caught it on Tv... but I was on the tv this morning! Remember me talking about how I was constantly in London? And then talking about doing some 'filming'? Yeah well the outcome was a piece for Matalan online and closer magazine! You can find the video HERE! It was a crazy experience. Very tiring and surreal, ALOT of filming and reshooting, I now have appreciation for people who act, because it is so hard having to repeat everything from different angles haha!

Thankyou so much to Matalan and to all of your kind words, so surrreal to see the advert after THIS MORNING ON ITV1! SERIOUSLY! Things like this don't happen to 19 year old girls like me from Sheffield, so I'm very thankful and humbled by th whole thing.

Much love to every single one of you, seriously <3

I'm not dying but I bleed out

Although Autumn is here - there are still sunny spells coming throughout the North of England. This is very much a rare thing, so of course I am jumping at the chance to catch a few rays in some more my more -summery- outfits!

Floral fringe silk kimono, c/o Glamorousuk
Vintage high waisted Levi shorts, ebay - £25
Vintage white lace bustier, You Wear Fashion
Inverted Kora Cross Necklace, c/o Rock'n'Rose
Faux Jeffrey Campbell Litas, c/o soyoushoes

I love this Kimono. Seriously, if there was anything to make me feel more glamorous it would be this! I styled this quite plainly, wearing my standard Levi's and bustier which are my favourites!
Sorry there was no Thrifty Thirsday yesterday - it will be back up to next I promise!
I'm sorting a photoshoot for my new collection of You Wear Fashion things - I haven't forgotten about my store! I'm just waiting patiently to get it all properly finished so it's not going to be sporadically updated, it should hopefully always have stock! :-) Fingers crossed!

Autumn Falls.

I absolutely love the wine/burgundy colour which is ever present during Autumn. Mixed with browns and coppers it really is turning into my autumn palette at the moment! When I recieved this Jumper and bag I was over the moon!

Burgundy knit jumper, c/o istyle
Burgundy playsuit (worn as shorts) c/o Glamorousuk
Proenzer Schouler PS1 lookalike satchel c/o istyle
Gold cross necklace c/o Eclectic Eccentricity
Hand ring, carboot - 50p
Amber stone ring, carboot - £1
Faux Jeffrey Campbell Litas, c/o soyoushoes

I actually recieved this in a box among some others goodies from now istyle, and they told me it would be a few pieces they chose and it would be a surprise! I'm not good with surprises, even my friends and family get it wrong when buying me clothes as gifts so I was very happy to recieve such nice things. Autumn colours and a new bag which is a dead ringer for the Proenzer Schouler Satchel we all know and love!

I also teamed it with my new EE cross necklace which is never coming off my neck. First I wouldnt take my beanie off and I have a feeling this is my new thing that you will be getting sick of - sorry! At least its a beaut ;-)

Oh gosh I'm sorry for such a courtesy of post btw - I promise I actually do buy clothes it just happened to be an outfit with freebies - my bad!
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
